The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall celebrates its 35th Anniversary this year. Many say it’s “The Wall that Heals”.

To date, there are now 58,315 names of our service members inscribed in honor of their sacrifice for our freedom. If you have the opportunity to visit during this Memorial holiday, The Wall is located at 5 Henry Bacon Drive NW in Washington, D.C. It is open 24 hours per day.

Honoring Our Beloved Veterans

Every Memorial Day, there is a flag planted at the foot of my father’s grave. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea in the mid-1940s.

WWII Veteran Reunites with Holocaust Survivor

A Freedom Warrior

On May 10, 2016, a World War II U.S. Army veteran reunited with a Holocaust survivor whom he freed from a Nazi death camp 71 years ago.

Sid Shafner, 94, was honored at a Holocaust remembrance ceremony for his hand in liberating over 30,000 prisoners from the Dachau concentration camp in southern Germany in 1945.
